Abstract

The protective effect of compound PE0607 on the metabolic syndrome manifestation induced by high-calorie diet with thyreostatic was investigated in the rats with estrogen deficiency. It was established that PE0607 administrations delayed the development of insulin resistance, improved glucose intolerance, decreased visceral fat weights and hypertriglycerides, promotes the products of nitric oxide. In addition, uterine weight was not affected by compound PE0607. The revealed selective effect of compound PE0607 on major factors of cardiometabolic risk justify the perspectives as potential cardioprotective agent for the treatment of metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal women with hypothyroidism.
