A determination of serum ceruloplasmin and its relationship with metabolic parameters in 71 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in combination with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with comorbid autoimmune thyroiditis (group 1, 53 patients) or without (group 2, 18 patients) was concucted. It was revealed an increase of serum ceruloplasmin in 20.8 % of 1st group patients and 27.8 % of 2nd group patients that is regarded as a manifestation of hypoxia of hepatocytes, reduced reactivity of the antioxidant system. A direct correlation of serum ceruloplasmin with indicators of inflammation of the liver tissue, the development of obesity and hypertriglyceridemia in patients of group 1 and adipokine resistin levels in patients 2 groups was found. These regularities require further study.
