Abstract

The aim of the study was to assess the relationship of metabolic parameters and vascular remodeling in patients with comorbidity of essential hypertension (EH), type 2 diabetes and obesity. We were examined 320 patients with EH stage II, grade 2 and type 2 diabetes moderate, subcompensated; 90 patients with EH stage II, grade 2 without type 2 diabetes and 31 healthy individuals. It was found that in comorbidity of EH, type 2 diabetes and obesity lipid and carbohydrate disorders, levels of adipokines and cytokines are linked and are the basis for the progression of the disease and for the beginning of cardiovascular complications, which was confirmed by data of correlation and variance analysis.
