Abstract

Arterial hypertension is one of most important medical and social problem in most countries and in
Ukraine. High blood pressure is one of the most significant factors of cardiovascular risk. Almost 90 % of patients with hypertension have concomitant diseases of internal organs, particularly hypothyroidism. The study
showed that in patients with hypertension under the conditions of hypothyroidism progression of hypertension
associated with eldest patient age, with progression of thyroid hypofunction, reduction thyroid volume, increase
hemoglobin, decreased platelets in peripheral blood and the appearance of dilatation of both ventricles. Besides,
progression of hypothyroidism is correlated with the deterioration of kidney function, activation of inflammatory syndrome, hypoproteinemia, reduction blood calcium, hyperlipidemia and deterioration of liver function.
