Abstract

The article presents the results of determining the relationship between blood circulation in large and small vascular pools and cognitive function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study was conducted in 101 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The state of cognitive functions was determined using standard psychoneurometric tests with transformation to obtain results in 3 groups, namely memory, information processing speed and executive functions. The state of peripheral microcirculation was determined using the GFR level. The state of the blood flow of the lower extremities was determined with the help of a vascular doppler with the definition of ABI. In the course of the study, it was found that in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with impaired peripheral micro- and macro-blood flow, cognitive functions decrease.
