It was studied 409 cases of single cyst of the thyroid gland. Revealed that 2.7 % of them are
branchial cysts. In women, this pathology is diagnosed in 4.5 times more often than men. Endodermal
branchial cysts in 18.2 % of cases were combined with papillary thyroid cancer and in 18.2 % of cases
were combined with follicular thyroid adenomas. This indicates the need for the most careful attention
to the cystic lesion of the thyroid gland
