The data was obtained that malignant thyroid tumos were
characterized by the low content of types I and III interstitial collagen in the stroma of tumor, the
appearance of is unusual for normal stroma type IV collagen and the marked shortage of type IV
collagen in the epithelial basement membrane. The "footprints"of type IV collagen were determined
in the malignancy areas of follicular adenomas, which are typical for malignant thyroid tumos and
can be used as a marker in the differential diagnosis of nodal neoplasm of the thyroid gland.
ER -
