Findings show<br>that patients with DM type 1 have lower BMD in the central and peripheral skeleton in comparison with patients with DM type 2. Also, women with DM type 2 have lower BMD and T-scores than men. Levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol positively correlated with BMD in all skeletal sites in women with DM type 2. Uric<br>acid positively correlated with BMD in all sites of skeleton in men with DM type 2.</p> ER -
