Literature data provide evidence of vitamin E capability to have influence on gene activity as well as processes associated with cardiovascular complications progression. In our study gamma tocopherol was determined as minor form of vitamin E in Ukrainian (Kharkiv) population. However increase of gamma tocopherol in examined patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus on the background of identified proinflammatory and proatherogenic characteristics of gamma tocopherol makes the case for dietary adjustment in such patients’ cohort. Relative deficit of alpha tocopherol revealed in examined patients gives evidence of perspective of complex antioxidative therapy administration for cardiovascular complications progression prevention/suppression.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Problems of Endocrine Pathology}, author={Gorshunska, M.
