For this research we used blood samples of 118 patients with T2DM and 50 healthy habitants of Kharkiv. There were no significant differences in allele frequencies for single nucleotide polymorphism -308 G/A in patients with type 2 diabetes (рG = 0,858, qА = 0,142) and and healthy individuals (рG = 0,930, qА = 0,070). Stratification of the type 2 diabetic patients in the presence and absence of NAFLD showed a more pronounced increase in circulatory levels of TNF-α in patients with NAFLD. The obtained data have proved promising for further research, which should be use this indicator as a diagnostic parameter of the above complication. In our study, there was no relationship between TNFα-308 polymorphism and the risk of NAFLD. Nevertheless, we have found a tendency for the harmful effects of the - 308A allele on lipid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes in the presence of NAFLD, suggesting that TNFα-308 A-alleles may contribute to insulin resistance in patients, which in turn may increase the risk of complications.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Problems of Endocrine Pathology}, author={Karachentsev, Y.
