Đ¢his proves the role of androgens in the work of the heart. Hypoandrogenia can be one of the conditions for changing the intensity of the processes of radical formation and the activity of the antioxidant system in the cells of the heart. Such changes may cause metabolic disorders and may increase the risk of developing and progressing pathological changes in the cardiovascular system. The age characteristics of the oxidative balance in the heart of different ages rats are determined. It is proved, that the influence of hypoandrogenism on the state of pro- / antioxidant systems in the heart of rats is age-dependent. It was found that the condition of androgen deficiency is more reflected on the oxidative balance of the heart of early sexual maturity rats. It has been established that hypoandrogenism is accompanied by modulation of the state of pro- / antioxidant balance in the heart of 3-months-old animals. This leads to the formation of oxidative stress. At the same time, in the heart of 2-months-old rats, under conditions of hypoandrogenism, there are significant changes in the intensity of the processes of free radical oxidation of proteins and lipids, as well as the activity of antioxidant defense enzymes. does not occur due to the fact that the rats in this age have increased basal indicators of redox-balance. It is suggested that testosterone in the heart of pubertal rats is not a key factor in the processes of regulation of the oxidative balance, where as in early sexual maturity age, its properties change towards the antioxidant effect.&nbsp;</p>}, number={1}, journal={Problems of Endocrine Pathology}, author={Volkova, Yu.
