Abstract

Results of examination of 73 patients with the abdominal type of obesity allowed one to diagnose dyslipidemia IIb, in 31 % of cases — carbohydrate metabolic disturbance, in 88 % — hyperinsulinemia. Individuals with abdominal obesity have a decrease in the testosterone level as a negative factor of growth in mass of the abdominal fatty tissue, development and progress of insulin resistance, increased serum atherogeny. Reversed dependence of the abdominal fatty tissue and the blood testosterone level was established in male patients.
