Abstract

An electron microscopy of interstitial endothelial cells, endothelial cells of blood capillaries and
blood-testis barrier, Sertoli cells and spermatogenic cells of the testes of rats after destructive influence
of the cytotoxic drugs have been studied. It was shown that cytostatics causes development of
mitochondrial dysfunction, decreased activity of piezobiosynthesis and dystrophic and destructive
modifications in organelles. These modifications are associated with the development of mitochondrial
dysfunction, which fails to adequately maintain a high level of bio-energetic ensuring of normal
intracellular metabolism. In addition, there is absence of deformations of intracellular membranes
indicating a low level of piezobiosynthesis activity. The ultrastructure of blood-testis barrier of the
testes’ cells has a series of destructive processes associated with the membranes destruction with
inhibition of piezobiosynthesis.
Condensation level was reduced in spermatocytes, there is acrosome’s disconnection from plasma
membrane, destruction of sections of flagella’s plasma membrane, swelling with enlightenment
mitochondria matrix, cristae destruction, absence of the dynein legs around microtubule doublets
indicates a violation of sperm motility.
