ALDEHYDE DEHYDROGENASE ACTIVITY IN THE TISSUE OF INTERNAL ORGANS OF RATS UNDER CONDITIONS OF CHANGING ANDROGEN SATURATION

An increased aldehyde dehydrogenase activity has been found in the liver and heart homogenates of 3-month-old rats under conditions of hypoandrogenia. Testosterone solution administration brings about a decrease in the enzyme activity and puts limitation on the catabolism of carbonyl products in oxidative way of their utilization.
