Abstract

Diseases of the thyroid gland are relevant to the current problem of modern society due to the wide, constant spread of this pathology and disorders associated with these diseases. Metabolic disorders negatively affect the state of bone and cartilage tissue, cause the development of a number of pathological conditions among which, of course, osteoarthritis is important. The effectiveness of the use of a fixed combination of paracetamol 500 mg and diclofenac sodium 50 mg tablets in the symptomatic treatment of patients with pain in osteoarthritis against the background of hypothyroidism has been studied. The study involved 348 patients aged from 18 to 92 years old who were shown a short-term course of anesthetic symptomatic therapy for pain in the presence of osteoarthritis in hypothyroidism. The course of treatment for each patient was selected individually and ranged from 1 to 7 days. Doses of the drug were determined individually, depending on the patient's age, the nature and course of the disease, tolerability and therapeutic efficacy of the fixed combination. A pronounced clinical efficacy of using the fixed combination in patients with pain syndrome in osteoarthritis on the background of hypothyroidism in a daily dose of 2 to 3 tablets for 3 to 7 days has been established. The obtained data on the clinical efficacy of the use of a fixed combination of paracetamol 500 mg and diclofenac sodium 50 mg tablets in the treatment of patients with pain in osteoarthritis against the background of hypothyroidism allow to recommend it for use in general clinical practice.
